I bet you thought it was Groundhog Day? But no, it is not. According to the J.F. Webb School of Health Sciences in Granville County today is actually “Scrub Day.”

According to the school’s policies, Scrub Day
is on the first and third Thursday of every month. Students who wear
scrubs to class receive a 100 on their homework or quiz grades from
their teachers.

What makes this funny is that J.F. Webb
School of Health Sciences is one of Gov. Mike Easley’s “Learn and Earn”
schools – high schools where the students will graduate with a high
school degree and an associates degree. I guess this is what Easley meant when he talks about preparing students for the work force.

I would’ve never had a problem with math had my teachers at Shady Spring High School offered “Scrub Day.”
