Oh goody!

Kevin Geddings, appointed to the North Carolina education Lottery board by Speaker Jim Black, has his trial on fraud charges coming up.

Geddings, you’ll recall, forgot to disclose to state officials that lottery contract hopeful Scientific Games paid him $229,000 in consultants fees. Meredith Norris, a former to aide to Black and his political consultant after she left his staff, was also on Scientific Games payroll at the time.

Naturally, Jim Black had no idea that Scientific Games was paying Geddings.
