Again, let’s call this what it is: Coliseum director Matt Brown (have I mentioned he’s the city’s highest-paid employee?) is (rather awkwardly, in my opinion) attempting to use political leverage to influence the Coliseum’s operation. They want the Visitors Center and an ACC Hall of Champions next door. Real bad.
I wrote last week about the efforts of some City Council members to save hundreds of thousands of dollars in a $393 million budget. I wonder if anyone suggested firing Brown and bringing in someone at half his salary?
