At least one of the five persons subpoenaed by the State Board of Elections in connection with its investigation into the dealings of Jim Black ally state Rep. Thomas Wright is vowing not to show up at the hearing. The Wilmington Star-News is reporting that friends of the Democratic lawmaker from Wilmington consider the investigation an illegitimate “witch hunt.”
