Forests make up the dominant land use in North Carolina, according to the guest speaker at today’s John Locke Foundation Shaftesbury Society luncheon.

Robert Slocum, executive vice president of the N.C. Forestry Association, explained that forest-related industry has a $30 billion impact on the state’s economy.
