The Winston-Salem Journal’s feeling the love from the great coming together that helped preserve Pond Mountain. The Journal sings praises not only for the various conservancies, committees and foundations who pitched in, but also for the owners, who “could have easily sold to a developer and made a lot more money.”
Probably true, but $14 million is a sweetheart deal no matter how you slice it. Nice that the state creates such wealth, isn’t it?
