I have previously suggested that labor unions are much more like profit maximizing businesses than the compassionate, collaborative groups solely concerned with the welfare of workers that they’re often portrayed to be.

Great piece of evidence here in the current issue of Forbes. Teacher unions have made out like bandits in deals with insurance companies where they endorse high-cost investments that soak the teachers with exorbitant fees, in return for fat payments to the union treasury.
