Let the speculation begin!

The ex-everywhere coach — including the ABA Carolina Cougars — is out of job again, having quit his post as a VP with the Sixers. The assumption is he wants to coach again in the NBA.

There’s the UNC angle to work via MJ, the young talent thing that everyone keeps saying Brown prefers, but there is the small matter of the Bobcats still having a coach in Sam Vincent. Still, I do not think Brown is a good fit for a franchise that still seems unwilling to spend big money in order to land players.

Update: It is official — an unnamed source tells Rick “Does Not Return Phone Calls” Bonnell that Brown is in fact interested in the Bobcats job which — whoops! — suddenly came vacant this AM.
