Former Greensboro City Council candidate Jorge Cornell was indicted on racketeering charges along with 12 other members of the Latin Kings gang.
The indictment lists several crimes in which Cornell and the Latin Kings were allegedly involved, including murder, armed robbery, bank fraud and kidnapping.
Cornell unsuccessfully ran against District 5 incumbent Trudy Wade in the November election.
