The Asheville city public school system wants to provide laptops to all high school kids. “Free” laptops are expected to narrow the achievement gap. The school system intends to spend about $100,000 with as much or more from the Asheville City Schools Foundation.
The school system used some federal stimulus dollars to purchase the first laptops.
