The good news: A Chapel Hill resident reportedly donated $18,000 for a kiosk in downtown Chapel Hill, from which residents could donate to local agencies. The idea seeks to deal with panhandlers.

The bad news: The Chapel Hill Town Council hasn’t acted on the kiosk idea.

Even more bad news: The Chapel Hill Downtown Partnership task force looking at implementing the kiosk idea has decided to broaden its focus.

In other words: Nothing’s getting done, an $18,000 donation sits idle, and yet another task force is born.
