I’m not ashamed to admit that a portrait of Lil’ Jemmy hangs in my office and I’m delighted with Governor Easley’s enthusiasm for him. While James Madison did not make a great (or even good by most accounts) president, he was a staunch defender of liberty and the rule of law.
