The Winston-Salem Journal interviews NAACP’s John Payton:

Q: Before President Obama’s election, people talked about America entering a post-racial period. Has it?

A: The answer to that is no. The Voting Rights Act may be why we don’t see disparities in voting. The election of Barack Obama and the appointment of Justice (Sonia) Sotomayor have not changed any one of those things. Are we in a post-racial America? The answer to that is that we are not, but I think we have some possibilities to take significant steps toward that goal.

Talk to Rush Limbaugh about a post-racial America, although evidently no one can produce Limbaugh’s supposed racially charged statements. Doesn’t matter any way —–Limbaugh is dropped from bid to buy Rams.
