hh“You go girl!” and assorted other great praises piled on Linda Daves’ refusal to budge on airing the Rev. Wright —> Obama —> Perdue/Moore television ad. The ad dust-up and clips of Daves, the NC GOP chair, led the talk-maven’s show for the first quarter-hour today at noon.

Not surprisingly Rush also found fault with John McCain and Beltway GOPers for acting aghast at the ad. I also think that the take-down reaction is a mistake — and a tad too transparent to boot. “Oh. no. Stop. Remove that awful ad. THAT awful ad, the one over there.”

To her credit, Daves masterfully deflected some MSNBC on-air tart’s attempt to call her a disloyal Republican for refusing to buckle to the demands of the McCain campaign and the RNC. Something tells me Linda Daves is gonna be a very hot property at the GOP Convention this summer — if they let her in.

But I still believe that the NC GOP will gain little to no benefit from the ad — even with Rush telling listeners to send money to the state party. He also told them to stop John McCain from gaining the nomination. How’d that turn out?
