Today’s Winston-Salem Journal editorial says:

As Lt. Gov. Bev Perdue visited a career center in Winston-Salem last month, she said it’s the type of program that should be a model statewide. Now that she’ll be our next governor, let’s hope she pushes hard for every program and strategy she can to improve the economy. Let’s demand that every other candidate who won election last week, from Barack Obama to county commissioners, does the same.

This is the same newspaper that endorsed McCain based on a desire for less government intrusion into our lives. I’m still scratching my head on that one.

Meanwhile, I’m glad to see there’s some skepticism surrounding Perdue’s “new sheriff in town” talk, considering she’s been “hanging out with the usual suspects for more than a decade.”
