It is amazing what a little record management can do in government, it can save the taxpayers money.  Like this case in Graham County:

A loophole discovered in a bank document to finance Graham County’s $1 million garbage transfer station signed five years ago has ended up reducing the county’s rent on the facility by half.

The discovery reverses what appeared to be County Manager Lynn Cody’s failure last fall to provide property owner Herve Cody with a 90-day advance notice of the county’s intention of renewing the lease agreement.
