An article in the local daily about the new abortion law shared some shocking statistics. In North Carolina, something on a par with half the population of Asheville was being aborted in the state each year. Fortunately, for some babies, the number of abortions fell by about 30 percent in 2013.
As for the legislation, I’m not all that jazzed. The legislators are dancing around an issue, making excuses, and seeking compromise rather than being bold and taking a stance. In case you didn’t notice, I’m not pro-death, interpreting the meaning of the right to life more literally than most.
