Do you ever have one of those days when you get tired of standing your ground? When you’re a tiny minority because you think this is supposed to be a free country where individuals triumph and group together as they want? Today, I’m feeling the weight of being outnumbered, ready to accept that the great abstraction of government, which never solves anything, needs more money to make more empty promises. It must gobble up our land; it needs to infuse itself into industry and education and tel us the partnerships create jobs, exponentiate economic multipliers, and bring in more tax revenue; and most importantly, it wants to friend us on facebook. In short, it needs to replace the lifeblood with its glorious embalming fluid while the patient is yet alive.
