..And Rep. Virginia Foxx praises the Housing Authority of Winston-Salem.
CEO Larry Woods said —according to the Winston-Salem Chronicle –“shocked to learn” that Foxx “was singing the praises of Woods and his agency on the floor of the United States House of Representatives.” He wouldn’t be the only one.
To be fair, HAWS’ recent headlines involve the tenure of Woods’ predecessor Ernie Pitt, who served 10 months in federal prison for a shady land deal. Woods has been on the job since 2006 and far as I can tell has kept HAWS out of the newspapers.
And perhaps Foxx’ shout out to a government housing agency will show those on the left that she’s not the right-wing nut they believe she is.
