More on last night’s U-Pac political forum shortly, but for now the headline is that Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory said that tougher water conservation measures are coming — soon. Basically it would involve restrictions on commercial and industrial uses of water.
To my mind that has to mean to car washes and golf courses and industrial processes that generate large amounts of waste-water. But I guess we will find out.
Too bad there is not a price-mechanism for transmitting the scarcity of water to consumers of all kinds.
