Rep. Mel Watt’s logic when voting against a congressional pay freeze:
“Usually, I try to apply the same principles to myself that I apply to other people,” Watt said Monday. “I couldn’t imagine voting against a cost-of-living increase for anyone else.”
Yet another incredible statement from Rep. Watt that —correct me if I’m wrong —has gone unnoticed by the editorialists at the state’s major newspapers. I try to avoid political relativism, but all I can think is if Rep. Virginia Foxx were on such a roll…..
