The Forsyth County Board of Elections set its early voting plan on Thursday. Unlike the raucous Guilford County Board of Elections meeting on Monday, there was no singing or chanting at Forsyth’s meeting, in spite of the board’s refusal to add Winston-Salem State University’s anderson Center to the list of early voting sites.

Some speakers advocated for Anderson Center as a voting site in order to ensure that students vote Democrat but issues over the years at WSSU were taken into consideration as the board debated and discussed early voting sites.

Board member Fleming El-Amin did say he would push for WSSU as a regular voting site on Election Day.
