Nice to know I’m not alone. Having nearly been broadsided while trying to negotiate the maddeningly confusing roundabout near NC State a few weeks ago, I’m particularly interested in this News & Observer story. The roundabout in question has generated about 100 accidents in 20 months, says the story. DOT’s response is to say they’re going to study it. Gee, I feel better now. You would think DOT would have realized that if you have to create a study guide to explain how a road works — as DOT did — then you probably haven’t come up with a good system. Is there no common sense left?
