The latest print version of U.S. News focuses on the ?green? economy. Editor Brian Kelly writes of the new administration?s stimulus package:
Obama made a significant down payment on a host of new initiatives and industries ? and put the government in a central management role. Combating climate change has moved from a job-killing burden to a job-creating opportunity.
Besides the fact that the second sentence is nonsensical (a new administration?s priorities don?t change the laws of economics), the first sentence reminds me of Mises? famous line: ?Every socialist is a disguised dictator.?
