Hurricane forecast continues to be downgraded. Having been VERY wrong last year, I guess middle of the year changes are ok, but don’t grab nearly the headline as MAJOR HURRICANE SEASON predicted from earlier in the year.
“We’ve lowered our forecast from our May predictions because of
slightly less favorable conditions in the tropical Atlantic,” said
Philip Klotzbach, a member of Gray’s team at Colorado State University.
Meanwhile, non-climatologist Chad Adams stands by his prediction made last year, “A hurricane will eventually hit the US coastline as they have since the US came into existence..”
