Speaking of The Charlotte Observer, the paper?s editorial page has issued some additional endorsements in a statewide primary for the NC Court of Appeals. It urges support for Alan Thornburg and Marcus Williams over Barbara Jackson and Marvin Schiller. The top two vote-getters in the July 20 primary will advance to the general election for the seat.
Now, Thornburg and Williams are Democrats. Jackson and Schiller are Republicans. But this is now a nonpartisan race, obviously.
