Speaking of wasting kids’ school day with political messages, Paul Chesser’s latest American Spectator piece focuses on the projects associated with the Alliance for Climate Education.
I’m still trying to decide whether this is worse than the junior high assembly in which my classmates and I were forced to listen to some awful hair band perform arena-rock chart-toppers such as “Can’t Fight This Feeling.” (The defining moment of that performance was the lead singer’s creepy decision to serenade Cassie Martin, who was cute … and 14.) At least in the case of that blast from the past, the music was so bad that it diverted all attention away from any underlying message.
