Contrary to Friedman and far too many mainstream accounts, such a terror weapon is not terribly “creative” or “simple.” Yet that myth has been repeated over and over with the recent spate of terror arrests.
Authorities have not nabbed of a clutch of terror cell supermen but a bunch of dummy wannabes, especially in the case of Najibullah Zazi. Does not mean that you want these nuts walking the streets, but once upon a time responsible journalism meant thinking for yourself.
