From the Triangle Business Journal comes this story of opportunity for potential business owners, created by a down economy. It proves once again that there always opportunities in any economy:

Looking to boost its number of franchised pizza restaurants, Papa John’s International Inc. Tuesday rolled out an incentive-laden franchise development program.

Under the plan, which Louisville-based Papa John’s (Nasdaq: PZZA) calls its 25th Anniversary Development Incentive Program, the company will waive the standard $25,000 franchise fee for new franchisees. It also will collect no royalties for 12 months and give owners a $10,000 early opening award.

Pizza anyone?
