I said yesterday it was the most satisfying Super Bowl ever. Even if you disagree, you can’t disagree with this from Ad Age magazine (reg. req.):

An average of 97.5 million people watched last night’s Super Bowl. According to Fox, which aired the game, the number makes the riveting contest between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants the most-watched edition of the contest in terms of viewers.

The figure, released by Fox citing figures from Nielsen Media Research, comes precariously close to matching the most-watched network-TV program of all time: the last episode of the popular CBS series “M*A*S*H,” which reached nearly 106 million viewers, according to Nielsen. The previously most-watched Super Bowl took place in 1996 on NBC, when about 94.1 million viewers watched the game. Approximately 93 million viewers watched 2007’s matchup.

Does this mean Eli is better than Paeyton?
