Congratulations to Commissioner David Stern on the NBA’s decision to implement a dress code
for its players. The new code applies before or after a game, or while
sitting courtside unable to play.  I think this will bring some
much-needed class to the NBA players’ image. (Dress codes help the
image: look at Soccer players, they usually travel in suits.)

The problem is, how do you keep these measures from appearing to
be directed mainly at African American players, when it is these
players, with a few exceptions, that normally follow the Hip Hop dress
code?
