Holden Thorp, the new chancellor over at Chapel Hill, recently delivered his first big speech and I comment on a few points here.
Predictably, Thorp buys the “diversity” imperative and subscribes to other liberal notions. Can he be persuaded to give more than lip service to the importance of a real liberal arts education?
