This is an interesting story on the current Medicaid situation in New York and how a commission assembled by Gov. Pataki proposes that the state should rein in costs and stop forcing local governments to pay a percentage.
New York has the highest local cost for Medicaid and is one of only a handful of states that require local government to pick up some of the tab. Yes, NC is one of them.
