This Monday, July 30th at noon – The Character Gap: How Good Are We and How Can We Become Better People? Be sure to join us for the last Shaftesbury event of the summer before we pick up again in September.

Most of us would say that we may not be saints, but we are still honest, kind, and mostly trustworthy. However, hundreds of recent studies in psychology suggest that character flaws prevent us from being as good as we think that we are. For instance, in a group of unresponsive bystanders most of us will do nothing if someone is crying out for help. Professor Miller will explore what our character really looks like given our current scientific understanding, and – crucially – what concrete steps we can take to try to improve and become better people.

We hope to see you there! Register here.
