Authors of a book called “Nice Girls Just Don’t Get It” make the case that some women fail at business because of messages they’re taught as little girls — something they call “nice-girl syndrome.” Then they identify weaknesses such as unclear vision and strategy and an inability to balance work/home life. Really? The issues they outline illustrate a lack of business acumen and readiness to operate and manage the demands of a business — and that has little  to do with being a “nice girl” or what girls are taught as kids. Stunning that the authors seem to believe a woman can’t be “nice” and thoughtful and still succeed at business.

Hogwash.
