Since middle school, I’ve heard the lamentations about the declining textile industry at the hands of evil globalization. Even then, I was raising my hand in globalization’s defense, claiming that technology would be the catalyst to pulling the industry out of the cheap, mass-production rut that China was soon to pick up — and frankly better suited to continue.
