The N&R’s Doug Clark pretty well sums up the latest TRC debate:
I suppose the council could issue an apology, but it wasn’t in office in 1979 and isn’t responsible for what happened. Instead, it should do better things: Contribute all it can to making Greeesboro a safe, healthy and prosperous city for all its residents. It can be held accountable for how ell it does that.
If the council wants to talk about the TRC report, fine. But since the whole process began, I’ve never understood the expectation by many in our community that it do so.
