You can’t say our former U.S. Sen. John Edwards is taking it easy in his post-Senate career. First he takes on poverty with a UNC sinecure while building his million-dollar home in Chapel Hill. But he’s such a dervish he has enough time to guest blog on a liberal blog site. Next, he’s going to fix Russia’s problems.
In fact, he says he and Jack Kemp, his partner in Russia fixing, are
going over there soon to see things “first hand.” Yeah, like two failed
vice-presidential candidates are going to see anything but a Potemkin
village of spruced up collective farms, power plants and former
Komsomol summer camps now owned by ex-Communist Party members and
operating as time-share resorts.  But, hey, if this helps fight
poverty in North Carolina then I guess it’s alright.
