Locker Room’s Terry Stoops wonders where Gov. Bev Perdure will find the money for the increase in education funding promised in last night’s State of the State address.

So does Rockingham County Sen. Phil Berger:

When asked, he was skeptical of Perdue’s promise to raise per-pupil spending.

“I’d like to know specifically what she plans to spend that money on,” he said.

Berger insisted that education funding needed to be spent in the right ways but that too often North Carolina simply “threw money” at education problems.

Speaking of Rockingham County, they’re really getting the shaft from Bev’s plan to siphon lottery money to help close the budget deficit. No new schools for them.
