I spent the rest of the day with several of my closest friends at Virginia Tech…as many did, watching the news…watching the press conferences…watching President Steger represent this University with the utmost resolve…talking about what we each thought about the whole situation…but most importantly spending time with one another, something that I believe none of us could have done without, and for all of them, I am very thankful. We are extremely thankful for how the University and President Steger have handled and continue to handle the situation. No one could have predicted or stopped the madness that happened on campus today.
