The CMS school board voted 8-0 to approve Peter Gorman, 42-year-old superintendent of Tustin, CA schools, as their next superintendent.
They really had no choice, as widespread dissatisfaction with the school system would have paralyzed a CMS lead by interim superintendent Francis Haithcock.
