….At least not in North Carolina, as NCHSAA rejects his appeal to play for Northern Guilford this season, leaving open the possibility that he’ll transfer out of state. King is a highly-regard college prospect who aspires to play in the Army All-American Bowl and is talking about announcing his college decision on ESPN. Seems like he’d want to back that up with a strong senior season.
What’s interesting is the fact that King and hos mother continue to make serious accusations against Page coach Kevin Gillespie and athletics director Rusty Lee, claiming they knew full well King was ineligible to play for the Pirates while he was living with his sister. Far from going after Gillespie and Lee, as they did Northern Guilford officials during that school’s recruiting scandal, Guilford County Schools is telling them to dummy up.
