The North Carolina economy of 2008 is vastly different than the traditional tobacco, textiles, and furniture economy that still dominated the state 30 years ago.
That’s a central theme of N.C. State University economist Michael Walden’s latest book, North Carolina in the Connected Age. Walden shared themes from that book during today’s John Locke Foundation Shaftesbury Society meeting.
