Meanwhile, Forsyth County Sheriff Bill Schatzman has some explaining to do about the uh, conduct of two detention officers in the county jail:

Two Forsyth County detention officers were arrested yesterday on charges that they committed sex acts with jail inmates.

Santino Cubanito Walker, 23, faces two counts of a sex act by a custodian. Troy Mustafa Gray, 23, faces one count of a sex act by a custodian. The two share an apartment at 1A, 5165 Ambercrest Drive, according to the sheriff’s office. The men were fired shortly before their arrests.

At a news conference yesterday, Sheriff Bill Schatzman would say little about the case or the allegations, including how many inmates investigators believe were involved or whether the acts were consensual.

Schatzman did say, however, that Gray and Walker passed detention officer training, which “certainly emcompasses the correct and appropriate behavior of dentention officers.”
