The N&R endorses Greensboro City Council incumbent Sandy Carmany and takes a look (though I swear I can’t find it posted anywhere) at her District 5 race versus former Guilford County commissioner Trudy Wade.

The article’s pretty much the same stuff: Wade criticizes Carmany on transportation policy; Wade criticizes Carmany on water policy, saying the city council should have pushed for a temporary line from the Randleman dam.

However:

The Randleman dam is complete, but not other parts of the project, including the pipes to connect it to Greensboro. Getting the water here is a few years and perhaps $50 million to $60 milion away. City water director Allan Williams said he looked into trying to rush the water into the city but found it not feasible.

But I found this comment from Carmany on the GPD controversy pretty incredible. When asked if those problems have been solved, Carmany replied:

“Based on the limited information available to me, I believe that most of the problems have been resolved.”

The key words there being “limited information.”
