Depth on the offensive and defensive line. While the Panthers have virtually all of their starters back from last year’s 12-5 team, they’re losing a number of key backups on the O-line (Hangartner, Bridges, possibly Omiyale). And the D-line had suspect depth last year, especially at tackle. And it’s not like the starters are on the up sides of their careers; Kemo turned 30 last month and Lewis turns 31 in three days (Happy Birthday a few days earlier, big guy).

If the Panthers don’t find some quality depth via free agency — which might be difficult given the team seems to have limited cap space — or the draft, it won’t many injuries for the 2009 to become a disappointment.
