Once you get past the resonant voice and appealing smile, Obama is no better than the typical politician who says that he’s in favor of policies that are good for the country (or at least “the little guy”) but goes the other way when special interest groups want something that helps them while hurting everyone else.

Case in point: Obama opposes free trade agreements that benefit consumers through lower prices and greater variety of goods because unions don’t like competition. Hmmmmm…..which will it be — Teamster backing or a principled commitment to free exchange?
