David Freddoso writes here about Obama’s close ties to Big Labor and his support for the authoritarian “Employee Free Choice Act” the union bosses want badly. The bill would compel employers to bargain with a union (and become the exclusive representative of all the workers, even those who may have had no idea that a unionization drive was going on) if a majority of workers sign a card saying that they want the union’s representation.
Freddoso notes that this is an open invitation to deception and harassment.
It’s also worth noting that it only works one way. There is no similar provision to allow for the dissolution of a union if a majority should sign cards saying that’s their desire.
