The Citizens Against Government Waste 2006 Pigbook of federal pork projects of course includes the infamous Teapot Museum in Sparta. It landed $500,000 from DC to go along with the $400,000 in state funds Jim Black directed there.
But let’s not forget about something called Folkmoot in Waynesville. That landed $500,000 from the Interior Department spending bill. That is in addition to at least $110,000 from the state of North Carolina.
And you’ll search in vain for these government funding sources at the Folkmoot USA Web site. Wonder why that is?
