The Buncombe County Republican Party Executive Committee recently took action to unseat member Don Yelton for trying to drum up support for an Unaffiliated candidate. That constitutes disloyalty, as he was making it more difficult for Republicans to win elections. Yelton was kicked out of the Buncombe County Democrat Party not too long ago.

At the same meeting, according to information provided to the area’s left-leaning paper by the party’s communication director, action was also taken to pass a security amendment. One reason for the amendment was that, for lack of a better word, spies of another stripe were at a recent party event.
